Do not waste your time with companies that seem overburdened with other clients - with no time for you.
2. Knowledgeable - Certainly no one knows EVERYTHING. However, your HR consultant should have a strong foundation in basic HR procedures and "best practices" in the field and be able to provide immediate counsel and support.
3. Reliable - You should never have to wonder if deadlines are going to be met or projects completed. A good HR consultant will advise you regularly of project status and deadline issues.
4. Personable - Strong interpersonal skills and a pleasant personality can go far in the HR business. Working with your HR consultant should be an easy, comfortable experience.
5. Flexible- Your business needs change constantly. Your HR consultant should be flexible enough to allow for reasonable changes.
